Celine's Salon - A Literary Cabaret!
Hello my name is Celine Hispiche and I am the curator/mistress of ceremonies for Celine's Salon. We are now coming into our 7th year and it is amazing what we have achieved so far. Its grass roots stem from an exquisite book shop 'The Society Club' in Silver Place set up by Babette Kulik in the heart of Soho. Book shop by day members club by night, a perfect setting for an intimate literary salon featuring some of the finest london talent. The Salon has graced many edgy venues since the closure of the shop from The Med Bar, Soho Sanctum Hotel to Cuts Basement Club and Gerry's Club, Soho still continues to be our home.
We collect writers from all genres and corners of the earth!
We have traveled further afield from Devon to Antigua, Ireland, Scotland and Wales with plans to travel all over the globe! Open invites are calling from Malaysia, South Africa and New York due to the success of our digital platforms during lockdown.
I am extremely proud to be working with my publisher Lucy George at Wordville Press. After the great success of 'Volume 1' we are now publishing 'Volume 2' of Celine's Salon The Anthology. Do watch this space!
Earlier this year saw the first Celine's Salon Celtic Tour traveling to Derry NI, Glasgow, Scotland and Tenby in Wales working with local writers and exchanging London writers with the three kingdoms. Hosting writers residencies with creative workshops proved to be a huge success and will be part of our global journey.
We are always nurturing new writers and offering them a platform. It is essential that a part of our curated programmes are dedicated to encouragement and development of their creative growth.
